AC Technician - InterContinental Abu Dhabi

At InterContinental Abu Dhabi, guest comfort is our top priority—and a smoothly running air conditioning system plays a major role. We are looking for a skilled and reliable AC Technician to join our Engineering Team and ensure all HVAC systems in the hotel are operating efficiently, safely, and effectively.

As an AC Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of all heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems throughout the property. You’ll ensure rooms, back-of-house areas, and public spaces are climate-controlled to provide maximum comfort for both guests and colleagues.

A little taste of your day-to-day:

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly do:

• Conduct routine maintenance and servicing of all HVAC systems (split units, central systems, chillers, ventilation units).
• Troubleshoot and repair air conditioning malfunctions promptly and efficiently.
• Monitor temperature settings and ensure system performance aligns with safety and energy efficiency standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of mechanical rooms and tools.
• Respond to guest room and departmental work requests related to air conditioning or ventilation.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair work performed.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and standards at all times.
• Support other engineering duties as needed during off-peak AC operations.
  
  

What we need from you:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in HVAC maintenance or as an AC Technician, preferably in a hotel, resort, or commercial facility.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and refrigerant handling.
• Technical diploma or relevant certification in air conditioning or mechanical trades.
• Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service reports.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Physically fit and able to work in hot, high, or confined spaces when required.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
