What you’ll be doing

Safad Trading Establishment is seeking a Site Engineer to support the delivery, supervision, and coordination of utility-related construction and site activities in Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities:

Supervise daily site works and verify that activities follow approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project schedules.
Review technical documents, shop drawings, material submittals, and work plans for compliance with project requirements.
Coordinate with contractors and site teams to resolve technical issues, monitor progress, and maintain required quality standards.
Conduct inspections, record site measurements, and prepare daily reports, progress updates, and snagging documentation.
Support material planning, quantity verification, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
Promote compliance with health, safety, environmental, and permit requirements across the worksite.
Identify delays, risks, and variations, escalating concerns promptly and supporting practical corrective actions.

What we’re looking for

Strong knowledge of site engineering principles, construction methods, and utility infrastructure work.
Ability to read and interpret civil, mechanical, electrical, and utility drawings, specifications, and schedules.
Competence in site inspections, quantity verification, progress tracking, snagging, and technical reporting.
Practical experience coordinating contractors, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and multidisciplinary teams.
Understanding of quality control procedures, testing requirements, method statements, risk assessments, and safe work practices.
Proficiency with engineering documentation and standard office productivity tools; familiarity with AutoCAD or related drawing software is advantageous.
Clear communication, sound problem-solving, attention to detail, and the ability to manage changing site priorities.
Willingness to work on active sites and maintain accurate records throughout project execution.
