The Physics Department at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) invites applications for a Research Associate position in Astrophysics. The successful applicant will work with Dr. Rim Fares on a project aiming at characterizing Star-Planet Interactions in activity indices. Spectroscopic data are available for the project. Candidates should be expert in analyzing stellar spectral data and stellar activity. Candidates with experience in theoretical modelling of star-planet interactions and their effect of spectral lines are encouraged to apply. Experience in data mining is a plus. The application should include a CV, a cover letter, a research statement (up to 2 pages) and two letters of reference.

Minimum Qualification

MSc in Astronomy, Physics or related areas.

Preferred Qualification

PhD in Astronomy, Physics, or related areas.
