Job Description
Design, execute, and analyse experiments involving the culture, expansion, and differentiation of various types of stem cells (e.g., pluripotent, embryonic, mesenchymal). Optimize stem cell culture protocols and develop new techniques for stem cell maintenance and differentiation. Perform gene editing and molecular biology techniques, including CRISPR/Cas9, qPCR, Western blotting, and immunofluorescence. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to explore stem cell applications in regenerative medicine, tissue engineering, and disease modelling. Maintain detailed records of experimental procedures, data, and results, ensuring compliance with institutional and regulatory standards. Present findings at lab meetings, seminars, and international conferences, and contribute to the preparation of manuscripts for peer-reviewed publications. Mentor graduate students and research assistants in stem cell-related techniques and methodologies. Stay current with relevant scientific literature and developments in the field of stem cell research. Minimum Qualification
The applicant must hold an MSc in Molecular Biology, or a related field.
Preferred Qualification
Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, or a related field.
Expected Skills
Experience: Proven experience in culturing and maintaining stem cells, including differentiation into specific lineages. Experience with pluripotent stem cells and gene editing is highly desirable. Technical Skills: Expertise in cell culture techniques, gene editing (CRISPR), flow cytometry, molecular biology methods, and fluorescence microscopy. Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a track record of publishing in high-impact journals. Collaboration: Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in experimental design and data interpretation.
