Job Description

Key Responsibilities:



  • Review project specifications, drawings, procedures, and identify project QA/QC requirements.

  • Develop Project Quality Plans (PQP), Method Statements (MS), Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), and obtain approvals from Client/Contractor.

  • Assist the Quality Manager in managing daily quality activities, preparing quality reports, and participating in quality meetings.

  • Monitor quality issues, raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), recommend corrective actions, and ensure timely close-out of NCRs and CARs.

  • Liaise with Client, Consultant, Contractor, and Third-Party Inspectors for inspections, approvals, and quality documentation.

  • Supervise and monitor civil QA/QC activities and manage QA/QC inspectors assigned to civil works.

  • Conduct inspections for excavation, backfilling, foundations, concrete works, reinforcement, structural steel, masonry, finishing, and infrastructure works.

  • Prepare and maintain quality control records, inspection checklists, inspection matrices, and turnover dossiers in accordance with project specifications and international standards.

  • Review Material Test Certificates (MTCs) and ensure materials comply with approved specifications and standards.

  • Monitor document control activities and ensure proper distribution of approved documents.

  • Maintain and monitor calibration records of testing and measuring equipment.

  • Conduct internal quality audits for subcontractors, suppliers, and project departments.

  • Organize quality awareness and training programs for the workforce.

  • Prepare final quality dossiers, handover documentation, and project closeout records.


Qualification & Experience:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.

  • Minimum 8 years of experience as a Civil QA/QC Engineer in the Oil & Gas, Building, or Infrastructure construction industry.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.


Technical Requirements:



  • Thorough knowledge of civil construction activities, inspection procedures, and quality control methodologies.

  • Well conversant with international standards and capable of interpreting project specifications and codes accurately.

  • Extensive knowledge of ACI, ASTM, BS, ASHTO, ISO, and other relevant international standards.

  • Ability to read and interpret civil, structural, and architectural drawings and specifications.

  • Familiar with concrete works, earthworks, piling, foundations, structural steel, road works, and utility installations.

  • Good understanding of Oil & Gas HSE requirements, construction practices, and quality standards.

  • Ability to coordinate effectively with Client, Contractor, Consultant, and Third-Party Inspectors for all QA/QC activities.

  • Experience in managing laboratory testing agencies, material testing subcontractors, and subcontractor quality activities.
