What’s In It For You

Trane in Abu Dhabi hiring for Project Developer to join the newly formed Trane Solutions team. In this role, you will execute the Project Acquisition process for various Master Contracting Vehicles. These professionals must manage the teams and processes necessary to develop the sale of these projects to the ultimate satisfaction of the customer. Key activities will include working with clients, offices and team members on scope development, overall acquisition strategy, estimating, and contract development for performance contracts, complex turn key and other complex contracting vehicles. This position requires mastery of acquisition, technical aptitude, project scoping/pricing and project management skills.

What You Will Do

• Perform comprehensive site audits and inspections of existing HVAC systems, including chillers, heat pumps, calorifiers, and boilers.
• Assess the feasibility and benefits of replacing existing heating systems with new, energy-efficient heat pumps.
• Develop detailed scopes of work, including technical specifications, cost estimates, and timelines.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide expert recommendations.
• Prepare and present feasibility reports and technical documentation to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare CAD drawing for proposed solution.
• Ensure all proposed solutions comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Coordinate with the fulfilment team to ensure a smooth handover of projects once they are won.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in HVAC technology and industry best practices.
• Directly execute the Project Acquisition process for Design-Build Turnkey opportunities.
• Ability to establish strong teams utilizing both internal Trane personnel as well as external teammates.
• Ability to audit an existing mechanical system (Calorifiers/Boilers/Heating Systems) and recommend solutions to install Trane Heat Pumps.
• Ability to understand construction methods/practices and communicate and direct subcontractors in an effort to obtain critical proposal information.
• Ability to use appropriate manner, personality, and outlook to effectively work with customers to solve their problems.
• Knowledgeable and skilled in Project Management and its processes. Ability to recommend plans for staffing PM/CM locally on-site and oversee projects through construction.
• Serve as a role model in consistently utilizing and advocating the CS process, Trane Policy Guide, related tools and systems.
• Continually validate the effectiveness of the Design-Build Turnkey and CS processes and identify and develop improvements.
• Responsible for secured customers from Project Development through project transition.
• Support Territory Leadership on an as-needed basis for efforts including training, consulting and business direction.
• Provide marketplace feedback, including competitive information, customer expectations, industry trends.
  
  

What You Will Bring

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business or equivalent from a four-year college or university preferred.
• Minimum 3 - 5 years sales experience in Project Development of HVAC systems and solutions (Mainly Heat Pumps, Chillers, Airside, etc.)
• Proficiency in using HVAC design and analysis software.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Working knowledge of HVAC solutions including heating and cooling systems.
• Must possess a valid UAE driver’s license
