The Production Planner (UAV Industry) will be responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing the production schedule of UAV(Fabrication & Assembly). This role ensures that all production activities align with strict industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations for aircraft manufacturing or maintenance.

The position involves collaboration with Production, Engineering, Procurement, and Quality assurance teams to ensure materials, parts, and resources are available, enabling the smooth flow of operations and the timely delivery of aircraft and UAV components. This position requires expertise in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to ensure efficient production and inventory control in line with customer requirements and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Production Scheduling: Develop detailed production plan for the manufacturing of UAV parts, systems, and assemblies, balancing production capacity, engineering changes, material availability and customer delivery requirements.
  • MRP Competence: Utilize Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems to ensure accurate forecasting of material needs, scheduling, and inventory levels. Adjust MRP data for the produced items in response to changes in production schedules, engineering changes, or supply chain disruptions, initiate MRP execution manually when needed.
  • Work Order Management: Issue and manage work orders, ensuring that production follows project timelines and adheres to safety and quality standards specific to the UAV industry.
  • Capacity and Resource Planning: Work with engineering, procurement, and production teams to optimize machine capacity, labor resources, and tooling availability in alignment with MRP outputs.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of UAV materials using MRP tools, ensuring timely procurement while reducing excess and obsolete stock.
  • Coordination with Teams: Collaborate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure alignment on schedules and requirements.
  • Risk Management and Problem Solving: Proactively identify risks and potential delays in the production process, addressing issues such as part shortages, machine breakdowns, or quality control challenges to avoid disruptions.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare production reports, analyze performance metrics (KPI), and document key milestones to provide stakeholders with insight into project status, production efficiency, and compliance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing production efficiency and reducing costs.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Production Planner within the aerospace or defense industry, with strong MRP system knowledge.

Expertise in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems, with extensive experience using ERP/MRP software like SAP.

Strong knowledge of materials used in Aerospace and UAV industry (e.g., composites, Avionics…)

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage complex production schedules
