Job Summary:


As a Podiatrist, you will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and preventing conditions related to the foot and lower limb for patients of all ages. This includes prescribing medications, performing orthopedic treatments, cryotherapy, electro-surgery, and utilizing specialized techniques such as ultrasonic and therapeutic exercises.


Responsibilities:


  • Assess, diagnose, and treat foot and lower limb abnormalities and diseases in patients of all ages.
  • Prescribe medications and provide orthopedic care, cryotherapy, and electro-surgery as needed.
  • Perform specialized procedures such as ultrasonic therapy, therapeutic exercises, and dressing applications.
  • Use surgical techniques, including nail and soft tissue surgery under local anesthesia.
  • Prescribe, design, and fit orthotics and other assistive devices to aid in treatment and rehabilitation.
  • Provide treatment and care for high-risk patients, including the elderly and those at risk for amputations.
  • Offer foot health education to patients, emphasizing prevention and management of conditions.
  • Work with athletes to treat sports-related injuries affecting the foot and lower limbs.
  • Operate and maintain a range of medical equipment, such as surgical instruments, orthotic materials, X-rays, lasers, and video gait analysis tools.
  • Comply with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) standards and infection control protocols.
  • Participate in emergency and evacuation procedures, reporting hazards and incidents as necessary.
  • Assist in risk assessment preparation, incident reports, and adherence to waste management policies.
  • Attend OSH and infection control training, drills, and awareness programs.
  • Ensure the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety systems.


Qualifications:


  • Graduate or Post Graduate from an accredited College or University in Podiatry.
  • Valid DOH/DHA or Equivalent Tier 1 Health license as Podiatrist
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as Licensed Podiatrist after residency programme
  • Possession of a valid license from the country of origin
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics.
  • Clinical examination and diagnostic skills.
  • Good communication and patient-care skills.
  • Manual dexterity for procedures and treatments.
