Offshore Construction Engineer

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with all departments within the company for all offshore-related scope of the project.
• Assist OCM in preparing requirement and technical evaluation of offshore materials and expedite the delivery, receipt at stores and approval of MRV of these materials.
• Assist OCM in providing input for weekly and monthly report and attend meetings with client.
• Assist OCM in liaising with third party agency on offshore execution related issues.
• Assist OCM in Liaising with marine warranty surveyors on all issues related to marine / construction aspects of the work such as document review, approval, attendance during load-out, towing and offshore installation.
• Attend weekly meetings with OOD / OCM to discuss progress and areas of concern.
• Insure implementation of the project safety plan and the company HSEMS.
• Insure and enhance quality of the work.
• Initiate the variation orders /claims related to offshore work. Compile the technical input (procedures / engineering documents),and assist CM in assigning offshore durations.
• Prepare mobilization plans, and attend mobilization meetings. Coordinate with, OPE, Barge Superintends, and Field Engineers to ensure that mobilization is through and complete.

Qualifications & Experience :

• B.Sc. Engineering.
• 5 year’s experience in offshore construction
• Report writing skills.
• Natural decision maker.
• Good communication skills and a committed team player.
• Willingness to work onshore & offshore.
• Knowledge of personnel and equipment.
• Thorough understanding of offshore operations.
