Job Description

Role Purpose
Our team based in our Abu Dhabi office helps our clients to plan their marine operations with full understanding of their assets’ capabilities when operating in the complex environment of the sea.  
 
You are a naval architect undertaking a variety of engineering analyses and reviews associated with floating marine operations, offshore construction, design, and marine warranty surveying.  Project management and tender preparation will form part of the role, along with attendance both onshore and offshore.

As such, the below job description is a guideline of what is expected from you on a regular basis:
 

• Provide Marine Warranty Surveyor Services in accordance with the roles and responsibilities described in the Joint Rig Committee Code of Practice
• Confidently carry out naval architect engineering scope such as, bollard pull calculations, mooring analysis, stability analysis, transportation analysis, installation analysis, etc.
• Participate in naval/structural reviews of typical marine operations such as the loadout, mooring, transportation and installation of fixed platforms, floating vessels, pipelines and subsea structures.
• To write comprehensive and detailed reports, and document reviews.
• Liaise with clients to ensure timely delivery of project deliverables and customer satisfaction
• Provide advice to members of the team and internal and external clients

There will be other duties and requirements associated with your job and, in addition, as a term of your employment you may be required to undertake various other duties as may reasonably be required by the business of you.
 
Specific Skills, Knowledge and Experience required

• MEng / MSc in relevant degree subject or Bachelor degree with equivalent experience
• At least 5-7 years’ experience in subsea and offshore engineering, already holding or working towards Chartered Status
• Excellent analytical skills, together with a working ability in a number of engineering analysis tools such as Offpipe, Orcaflex, MOSES, STAAD, SESAM, GHS etc.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills
