Job Purpose
The Logistics Lead is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all project logistics activities for ADNOC Offshore projects under the Project Management Consultancy . The role ensures the safe, timely, and cost-effective movement of personnel, materials, equipment, and marine assets between suppliers, fabrication yards, ports, and offshore facilities while ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards, project schedules, and HSE requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics Planning
- Develop and implement the Project Logistics Execution Plan (PLEP) covering engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up phases.
- Prepare logistics strategies for Greenfield and Brownfield offshore developments.
- Coordinate logistics requirements with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, Operations, and HSE teams.
- Ensure logistics activities align with the overall project schedule and offshore execution plan.
Marine & Offshore Logistics
- Coordinate marine transportation including barges, PSV, AHTS vessels, crew boats, heavy-lift vessels, and cargo vessels.
- Plan and monitor offshore personnel transportation, accommodation, and rotation schedules.
- Coordinate load-out, sea fastening, offshore transportation, lifting operations, and installation support.
- Ensure vessel readiness, certifications, and marine assurance requirements are fully complied with.
- Support offshore SIMOPS planning and logistics execution.
Materials & Equipment Logistics
- Manage movement of materials and equipment from vendors to fabrication yards, ports, and offshore facilities.
- Coordinate customs clearance, freight forwarding, import/export documentation, and transportation activities.
- Monitor storage, preservation, warehousing, laydown areas, and inventory control.
- Ensure critical and long-lead items are delivered in accordance with project priorities.
- Coordinate logistics support for commissioning and start-up activities.
Contractor & Stakeholder Management
- Review and approve EPC Contractors' logistics plans, procedures, and schedules.
- Monitor contractor logistics performance and compliance with ADNOC specifications and contractual requirements.
- Coordinate with ADNOC Logistics, Marine Operations, Ports, Customs Authorities, and service providers.
- Resolve logistics constraints affecting project execution and recommend mitigation measures.
- Participate in interface meetings with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
HSE & Quality
- Ensure logistics activities comply with ADNOC HSE Management System requirements.
- Promote safe lifting, transportation, and marine logistics practices.
- Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, risk assessments, JSA, SIMOPS reviews, and marine assurance activities.
- Support incident investigations and implementation of corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC Offshore safety procedures and international maritime regulations.
Project Controls & Reporting
- Monitor logistics KPIs, schedules, budgets, and resource utilization.
- Prepare weekly and monthly logistics progress reports.
- Identify logistics risks and develop mitigation and recovery plans.
- Support project cost control through logistics optimization.
- Coordinate closely with Planning, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning teams to achieve project milestones.
Minimum Qualification & Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent from an accredited university, with a minimum of fifteen (15+) years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry, including a minimum of five (5) years (preferred) in the GCC region.
- Must have at least five (5) years of experience in a similar position on major Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects, managing a team of Specialists, Senior Engineers, and Engineers.
- ADNOC project experience is Required.
- Offshore project experience is Required.
- Professional certifications such as CILT, APICS, CSCP, or equivalent are an advantage.
- Proven experience supporting Concept, FEED, and EPC project phases.
- Strong experience in offshore marine logistics, heavy-lift transportation, fabrication yard logistics, and offshore construction support.
