Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our team and play a key role in deploying, maintaining, and securing enterprise‑level systems. In this role, you will leverage your broad IT expertise to support and enhance complex environments across both Data Centre and Cloud platforms. You’ll work on multiple initiatives simultaneously, collaborating closely with technical teams across the organization to ensure our infrastructure remains resilient, scalable, and secure.

Role Objectives

• Maintain the availability, performance, and security of core infrastructure through proactive monitoring.
• Support security assessments and investigations by processing system data and ensuring patch and compliance standards are met.
• Evaluate existing architectures, tools, and workflows to identify improvements.
• Collaborate with Support and Development teams to design and deploy operational tools.
• Provide Tier 2 support for virtualization, backup, security, and infrastructure systems across on‑premises and cloud environments.
• Execute and maintain reliable backup and recovery strategies for critical systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical issues while meeting SLAs.
• Serve as a subject‑matter expert for virtualization, infrastructure, and hardware technologies.
• Implement automation to streamline tasks and enforce consistent infrastructure policies.
• Maintain accurate documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
  
  

• 7+ years of experience managing and optimizing VMware environments (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, Horizon).
• Proven experience deploying and supporting large‑scale VDI environments.
• Strong background in designing secure system and network architectures (HLD/LLD).
• Hands‑on experience with both Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking and diagnostics.
• Proficiency with enterprise hardware platforms (VxRail, HPE, Nutanix) and HPC/HCI environments.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and ITSM systems (e.g., Zabbix, Jira Service Desk).
• Strong knowledge of ITIL practices, change management, and infrastructure security.
• Experience with automation/orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V, Nutanix AHV).
• Practical experience managing cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and integrating enterprise systems for performance and security.
