Environmental Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure full compliance with ADNOC HSE standards, UAE environmental regulations, and international best practices.


• Implement and monitor the Project Environmental Management Plan (EMP).


• Conduct environmental impact assessments and risk evaluations for construction activities.


• Monitor air emissions, noise levels, wastewater discharge, and waste management systems.


• Ensure proper hazardous and non-hazardous waste handling, storage, and disposal.


• Conduct regular environmental inspections and audits at site.


• Prepare environmental reports and submit documentation to ADNOC and regulatory authorities.


• Coordinate with HSE, construction, and engineering teams to mitigate environmental risks.


• Support sustainability initiatives and environmental performance improvement programs.


• Investigate environmental incidents and recommend corrective and preventive actions.


• Ensure compliance with ISO 14001 Environmental Management System requirements.

 Technical Requirements:

• Minimum 8+ years of experience in Oil & Gas / LNG / Petrochemical plant construction projects.


• Strong knowledge of ADNOC environmental standards and UAE environmental regulations.


• Experience in large-scale EPC construction projects.


• Familiar with environmental monitoring equipment and reporting tools.


• Good understanding of waste management regulations and hazardous material control.


• Experience with environmental auditing and compliance documentation.


• Proficiency in MS Office and environmental reporting systems.

 Preferred Certifications:

• ISO 14001 Lead Auditor certification (preferred).


• NEBOSH Environmental Management Certificate (preferred).


• Membership in recognized environmental or engineering professional bodies is an advantage.
