Job Description
Our client, a leading construction group in Abu Dhabi, is seeking an experienced Enterprise Risk Manager to oversee and strengthen the organisation's enterprise-wide risk management framework.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring and mitigating strategic, financial, operational, commercial and compliance risks across the business, ensuring effective risk governance and alignment with the organisation's overall business strategy.
The Role
- Develop, implement and maintain the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework across the organisation.
- Identify, assess and monitor strategic, financial, operational, commercial and compliance risks.
- Establish and maintain enterprise-wide risk registers, risk matrices and mitigation plans.
- Conduct risk assessments across business units, projects, procurement and corporate functions.
- Collaborate with senior management, department heads and key stakeholders to implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and identify emerging business risks.
- Prepare and present comprehensive risk reports and recommendations to executive management and senior leadership.
- Strengthen internal controls, corporate governance and risk management policies.
- Support business continuity, crisis management and organisational resilience initiatives.
- Ensure risk management practices are aligned with recognised international frameworks and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering or a related discipline.
- 10–15 years of relevant professional experience in Enterprise Risk Management, Corporate Risk or Group Risk Management.
- Previous experience within construction, engineering, infrastructure, real estate or large diversified organisations is highly preferred.
- Proven experience developing and implementing enterprise-wide risk management frameworks.
- Strong understanding of ISO 31000, COSO ERM or equivalent risk management frameworks.
- Experience managing risk registers, risk assessments, mitigation strategies and Key Risk Indicators.
- Previous exposure to executive management and Board-level reporting.
- Strong stakeholder management, analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
Preferred Certifications
- RIMS-CRMP
- CRMA
- Professional certifications in Enterprise Risk Management or Risk Governance
