About The Job

Based at the Emirates palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi within the Concierge Department, the Concierge Supervisor is responsible for handling guest requests in a friendly and caring manner, inspiring and building a high-performance team through communication, networking, and training needs. To encourage & Motivate fellow team associates and ensure consistent work performance. The Concierge Supervisor reports to the Chief Concierge/ Assistant Chief Concierge.

As a Concierge Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Ensure all staff are fully aware of any special event taking place in the hotel and Abu Dhabi daily.
  • Answers guest questions and handles guest requests in a polite and efficient manner such as giving information, making a reservation for a tour, a restaurant or transportation, providing directions, confirming flight, etc. If needed, refer to requests from relevant staff to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Keeps updated of all information concerning the hotel services, local places of interest, restaurants, transportation, sport facilities, churches, shopping areas and all relevant information likely to be of guests’ interest to be able to answer guest requests and questions.
  • To assist in maintaining the LQA standards within Concierge Department.
  • To ensure that all employees report for duty punctually always wearing the correct uniform and name badge.
  • To understand and strictly adhere to the Hotel’s Employee rules & regulations.
  • Assist in the training of the employees & ensuring that they have the necessary skills to perform their duties with the maximum levels of productivity and efficiency.
  • Ensure teamwork, communication & networking between the team member at the best level all the time and find ways to improve.
  • Review the daily transportation tasks and welcome all arrival guests by hotel limousine.
  • Evaluate Associates accordingly and discuss their performance constructively
  • Manage Associates duty rosters and Monthly Time and attendance.
  • Monitor Cash floats with spot checks to encourage consistent and accuracy in the department

As a Concierge Supervisor, We Expect From You

  • Previous experience in the same role in a luxury hotel is required, resort experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with location, neighbourhood, and local attractions, including restaurants, bars, and nightlife
  • Supervisory and leadership skills
  • Additional languages will be an advantage
