ABOUT THE POSITION

Job Title: Asset Management Associate

Employment Type: Exempt - FT

Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (On-site, 5 days per week in office)

The Asset Management Associate (AMA) role is a two-year early career development program and a pathway for accelerated career growth and opportunity in the asset and investment management industry. Designed to attract and develop high-potential professionals who demonstrate passion, curiosity, and the desire to enter the asset management industry, the AMA program is the platform from which proven candidates from their respective industries can quickly excel and evolve their career direction.

This rotational program combines training, mentoring, coursework, a variety of roles and responsibilities, and interaction with GQG leaders, while working alongside a cohort of collaborative team members. Program members build exceptional operational, business development, and analytical skills with an opportunity to select an operational area or assigned based on business need within a fast growing and industry leading organization. AMA members are viewed as the potential leaders and business drivers of our tomorrow by providing perspectives, insight, delivery, and solutions to support GQG to the next level of growth and success.

ROTATIONS MAY INCLUDE

Marketing

• Support website layout, content creation, and site development.
• Create and deliver internal and external communications from concept to outcomes.
• Develop social media, website, digital, and competitive strategies.
• Prepare and present competitive analysis of website, social media, digital campaigns, and marketing content.
• Coordinate multiple streams of efforts and projects.

Client Service

• Assist with ad-hoc requests that enter the Client Service inbox.
• Support special projects as needed (e.g., helping with Salesforce reporting projects, building out relevant campaigns, etc.)
• Assist with client meetings as appropriate, including meeting-prep, calendaring, organizing meeting notes, gathering meeting follow up items, etc.
• Support client and broker onboarding.

Internal Sales

• Present, message, and deliver talking points of sales conversation.
• Demonstrate confidence in the sales process and strategies.

Request for Proposals (RFP)

• Complete due diligence and proposal in fast paced environment.
• Develop critical content: Due Diligence Questionnaire (DDQ), GQG Annual Report, GQG Compliance Manual, GQG Prospectus, ASX Investor presentations.
• Represent and present key areas including Trading, Compliance, ESG, and Diversity.
• Complete new and existing business questionnaires and requests that cover a broad range of topics.

Finance

• Assist in the quarterly financial reporting responsibilities, including board presentation and MD&A.
• Contribute to peer benchmarking studies in support of FP&A and external reporting.
• Assist in the development of analytics to support planning and forecasting.
• Support in ad hoc analytics and finance / FP&A projects.
• Assist with the monthly and quarterly ASX filings.
• Contribute to the creation of materials for shareholder and analyst presentations.
• Manage analyst reports and consolidate monthly consensus data.
• Create peer review of analysts and strategize expansion of coverage.

Investment Infrastructure and Operations

• Work with Trading and Investment Operations to help support the daily investment process related to transacting in global equity markets.
• Collaborate with our middle office outsourcing partner and support daily processes that are integral to our investment activity.
• Contribute to the Performance and Analytics team to provide client reporting, performance analysis, and general reporting support delivering analyses and reporting to our sales, marketing, or client services teams and GQG clients.

Business Integration and Technology

• Support the Business Integration team working with various departments and teams across the firm to support projects of various size and scope.
• Participate in Third Party Risk Management and implementation of new processes and risk criteria to facilitate the onboarding, review, and offboarding of vendors, fund service providers, and brokers.
• Work with technology team to support projects and initiatives supporting the broader GQG business including engineering, cybersecurity, and end user support initiatives.
• Contribute to regulatory and corporate reporting projects that support the firm’s public reporting, controls, and certification processes.

Legal & Compliance

• Assist Legal team on a wide variety of projects and matters, including:
• Contract review and implementation.
• Governance, including subsidiaries and publicly owned parent company.
• Product development and maintenance, including mutual funds, UCITS, Australian funds, private funds, and collective investment funds.
• Assist compliance team with Code of Ethics program, including the review of personal account statements.
• Assist with projects such as the review of investment management agreement client prohibitions against order management system coding to ensure completeness.
• General support of legal and compliance team.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree demonstrating strong academic background.
• Minimum 2 years of work experience in an operational or finance role in a professional setting.
• Demonstrable interest and passion for finance or investment management industry.
• Demonstrable interest in GQG.
• Flexibility to work across time zones to support global business.
• Demonstrable technical development skills or an innate interest in understanding how technology can empower you.
