Art and Design Manager

Role Overview:

The Creative Arts & Motion Design Manager is responsible for leading the development and execution of world-class visual creative content across Miral Experiences’ entertainment offerings, attractions, seasonal events, campaigns, and guest experiences. The role oversees the creative direction, design, and production of both static and digital visual assets, ensuring a consistent, innovative, and high-quality visual identity across all touchpoints.

Working closely with Entertainment, Marketing, Production, Operations, IP partners, and external vendors, the role drives the creation of graphic design, motion graphics, digital media, environmental graphics, show branding, screen content, and immersive visual experiences that enhance storytelling and elevate the guest experience.

The position combines creative leadership with operational delivery, managing internal and external creative resources, maintaining brand standards, championing innovation, and ensuring all visual content is delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest creative and technical standards.

The successful candidate will act as a key creative partner across the business, translating strategic objectives into compelling visual solutions while continuously exploring new technologies, industry trends, and creative approaches that support Mirals ambition to deliver globally competitive entertainment experiences.

Area(s) of Responsibility:

• Lead the visual creative development of entertainment projects from concept through delivery, ensuring a compelling and consistent guest-facing visual language. 
• Develop creative treatments, mood boards, visual identities, style guides, and presentation materials for shows, attractions, seasonal events, campaigns, and experiences. 
• Oversee the creation of static and digital graphic design assets including key art, promotional materials, signage, environmental graphics, show branding, event identities, print collateral, merchandise graphics, and wayfinding solutions. 
• Establish and maintain visual identity standards across entertainment offerings and campaigns. 
• Support marketing and commercial teams in the development of creative assets that drive guest engagement and revenue.
• Ensure all creative outputs align with Miral Experiences and individual park brand standards.
• Collaborate with Creative, Production, Operations, Marketing and IP teams to develop visual elements supporting live shows, seasonal events, attractions, activations and guest experiences. 
• Provide creative input into scenic treatments, stage visuals, screen content, interactive media, projection content and environmental storytelling. 
• Ensure visual design enhances the overall guest experience while remaining operationally practical and deliverable.
• Lead the development of multimedia content including motion graphics, video content, digital screens, projection mapping, LED content, social media assets and immersive media experiences. 
• Explore new technologies and emerging creative tools including AI-assisted design, real-time rendering, interactive media and digital experiences. 
• Continuously identify innovative visual solutions that elevate Mirals entertainment offering.
• Manage multiple creative workstreams simultaneously, balancing business priorities, budgets, schedules and stakeholder expectations. 
• Develop project plans, creative schedules, resource allocation strategies and production timelines. 
• Ensure creative projects are delivered on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards.
• Present creative concepts, pitches and design solutions to senior stakeholders, park leadership and executive teams. 
• Translate business objectives into compelling visual storytelling and creative outcomes. 
• Act as a key creative partner across departments to support strategic business initiatives.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

Essential

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Motion Graphics, Animation, Visual Communication, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in motion graphics design or animation.
• 2+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role, overseeing creative teams or projects. 
• Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Cinema 4D, or similar tools. 
• Strong graphic design expertise across print, digital and environmental applications. 
• Strong understanding of visual branding, typography, layout, color theory and creative identity development. 
• Experience developing creative concepts for entertainment, events, attractions or destination experiences. 
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro).
• Strong expertise in motion graphics, animation principles, and visual storytelling.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with a talent for mentoring and inspiring creative teams.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of branding and marketing strategies as they relate to visual communication.
