06_BIM Engineer-Structural

Position Summary

iTech Engineering Consultancy is seeking a skilled and motivated BIM Engineer – Structural to join its Digital Engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining structural BIM models, producing project deliverables, and supporting multidisciplinary project coordination for a wide range of building and infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge of structural engineering principles, BIM workflows, and model-based project delivery, with hands-on experience in Autodesk Revit Structure and related BIM tools.

Key Responsibilities

BIM Modeling & Project Delivery

• Develop and maintain accurate structural BIM models for buildings and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare structural BIM deliverables including plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, and quantity take-offs.
• Ensure project models comply with client requirements, company standards, and project BIM protocols.
• Support structural design teams throughout project development and delivery stages.
• Produce coordinated construction documentation directly from BIM models.
  
  

Model Development & Documentation

• Create and update structural BIM models based on engineering calculations, design drawings, and project specifications.
• Model reinforced concrete, structural steel, precast, and composite structural systems.
• Generate and maintain project documentation, schedules, and reports from BIM models.
• Ensure model data accuracy and consistency throughout the project lifecycle.
  
  

Coordination Support

• Coordinate structural models with Architectural, Civil, MEP, and Infrastructure disciplines.
• Participate in model review and coordination meetings.
• Assist in identifying and resolving clashes and model interface issues.
• Support Senior BIM Engineers and BIM Coordinators during multidisciplinary coordination activities.
  
  

Quality Assurance

• Perform self-checks and quality reviews of BIM models before submission.
• Ensure compliance with BIM Execution Plans (BEP), project standards, and company procedures.
• Maintain proper file structures, naming conventions, and Level of Development (LOD) requirements.
• Report technical issues and propose solutions to improve model quality and efficiency.
  
  

Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to the development of BIM standards, templates, and workflows.
• Stay updated with BIM technologies and industry best practices.
• Support knowledge sharing within the BIM team.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2–5 years of BIM experience in structural engineering projects.
• Experience working on commercial, residential, mixed-use, industrial, healthcare, hospitality, or infrastructure projects.
• UAE/GCC project experience is preferred.
