Architect Design Head

Executive Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Director – Hospitality Architect to serve as the client-side design authority. Operating directly within the owner/developer organization, this executive will direct design governance, strategic master planning integration, and architectural delivery for multi-billion SAR ultra-luxury resorts and signature golf residential communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Developer Design Authority: Represent the owner/developer side in defining and protecting the architectural vision from initial master planning through to final delivery.

• Consultant & Design Governance: Lead, evaluate, and manage top-tier international architecture consultancies, lead design firms, and engineering partners on behalf of the client.

• Resort & Golf Integration: Spearhead the spatial and architectural development of signature golf clubhouses, luxury resort amenities, and high-end residential communities within master-planned environments.

• Operator Collaboration: Work directly with luxury international hotel operators to enforce brand design guidelines, spatial standards, operator specifications, and local building authority requirements.

• Design Review & Quality Assurance: Conduct high-level client-side design reviews, direct value engineering efforts without compromising aesthetic quality, and manage design delivery risks throughout all project phases.

  
  

Must-Have Qualifications & Selection Criteria

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture (B.Arch / M.Arch).

• Modality / Employer Context: Direct, proven experience working on the Developer, Asset Owner, or Operator side managing external design consultants. (Candidates with experience strictly inside third-party architectural design agencies/consultancies will not fit this requirement).

• Asset Class Portfolio: 15 to 20 years of overall architectural leadership experience, with a heavy emphasis on luxury resort developments, signature golf clubhouses, and golf-centric lifestyle communities.

• Regional & Technical Expertise (Preferred, Not Mandatory): Familiarity with Middle East / GCC mega-projects, master-planned developments, luxury operator standards, and KSA building code compliance is beneficial. Outstanding international candidates with top-tier global resort experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

• Executive Leadership: Exceptional presentation, negotiation, consultant governance, and senior stakeholder management capabilities.
