Job Description

As a Team Leader in Housekeeping, you will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization within our facilities. You will be responsible for overseeing a team of housekeeping staff, ensuring that daily cleaning operations are carried out efficiently and to the highest quality standards. Your keen eye for detail and strong leadership skills will drive performance and productivity among your team, ensuring that all areas are immaculate and welcoming to guests. With a focus on fostering a positive team environment, you will motivate your staff, manage schedules, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, all while addressing any guest requests or concerns promptly and professionally.


Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities and operations of the housekeeping staff.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are met.
  • Develop and implement staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage at all times.
  • Train new housekeeping employees in cleanliness and maintenance procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Resolve guest complaints and requests quickly and effectively to ensure satisfaction.
  • Enforce compliance with company policies and health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
  • Prepare reports on housekeeping activities, performance, and issues for management review.
  • Motivate team members to ensure high performance and satisfaction among staff.
  • Implement cost-control measures without compromising quality and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in housekeeping, with at least two years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective team leadership.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as required.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods.
  • Capability to handle physical demands such as standing, walking, and lifting.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and train a diverse team effectively.
