Job Description

The role of a Sales Engineer is integral to the success and growth of a company's sales operations, particularly within industries that require technical and complex products. As a Sales Engineer, you will blend your technical knowledge with sales acumen to identify and meet clients' needs, act as a bridge between the client and the company, and present innovative solutions that enhance their businesses. Your role will involve working closely with the sales team to devise strategies, engage prospective clients, educate them on how products can be best utilized within their operations, and ultimately drive sales forward. The ability to comprehend intricate technical details and translate these into practical, impactful benefits is essential. Your ability to forge strong client relationships and ensure customer satisfaction will contribute to the long-term success of the company.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of company products and services.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and pursue sales opportunities.
  • Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations for prospective clients.
  • Analyze customer requirements and propose appropriate product solutions accordingly.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key personnel in client organizations.
  • Assist in the preparation of sales proposals, contracts, and related documentation.
  • Participate in trade shows and events to showcase company products and services.
  • Liaise between the customer and product development teams to relay customer feedback.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technology advances, and competitive products.
  • Achieve sales targets and objectives as defined by management.
  • Provide after-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Document and track customer interactions and sales progress within CRM systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related field is required.
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in a technical or engineering role.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn and understand complex products.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interactions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address client inquiries and challenges.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Experience with CRM software and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products.
