Job Description

The Operations Supervisor (Well) is responsible for overseeing all aspects of well operations, ensuring that they are conducted safely, effectively, and in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. This role plays a crucial part in managing the workforce, coordinating with various departments, and optimizing operational procedures to improve productivity and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in well operations and a proven track record of leadership. They will also possess excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions in a high-pressure environment. As an Operations Supervisor, you will lead a team of skilled professionals, guide them through day-to-day activities, and ensure that all performance targets are met. You will be instrumental in implementing best practices and driving continuous improvement initiatives.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations to ensure efficient well performance and productivity.
  • Coordinate and schedule well operations activities to align with project timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards at all times.
  • Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to support operational goals.
  • Develop and implement operational processes to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor and report operational metrics to senior management regularly.
  • Lead, train, and mentor a team of operations staff and technicians.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Work closely with supply chain management for material and equipment needs.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure all safety policies are strictly followed.
  • Prepare and review operational documents, reports, and presentations.
  • Participate in strategic planning and resource allocation to meet business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field required.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role within the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage and motivate teams.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of well operations, procedures, and equipment.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
