Job Description

The Front Desk Agent is a vital member of the hospitality team, serving as the first point of contact for guests and visitors. This role requires a friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor to welcome guests warmly, manage check-in and check-out processes efficiently, and address any inquiries or issues promptly. As the focal point of guest services, the Front Desk Agent plays an essential role in ensuring a seamless guest experience by coordinating with various departments and facilitating communication between guests and hotel staff. The position demands excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment. Furthermore, the Front Desk Agent must maintain a thorough understanding of the hotel's services and amenities to provide guests with accurate information and recommendations to enhance their stay.


Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanor upon arrival.
  • Manage the guest check-in and check-out processes efficiently and accurately.
  • Provide guests with detailed and clear information about hotel services and amenities.
  • Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional manner.
  • Coordinate room assignments, reservations, and special requests effectively.
  • Maintain updated records of guest details and ensure confidentiality.
  • Process guest payments, including handling cash and credit card transactions safely.
  • Communicate and collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams for guest needs.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and direct them to appropriate departments or personnel.
  • Assist in resolving any guest issues or emergencies promptly and satisfactorily.
  • Maintain a neat and organized front desk area, ensuring professional appearance.
  • Support front desk operations and contribute to team objectives actively.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality education is an advantage.
  • Proven experience as a Front Desk Agent or similar hospitality role.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to maintain guest satisfaction.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in using hotel management software and basic office equipment.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities in a fast-paced environment.
