Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance checks and services on diesel engines and related parts.
• Use diagnostic tools to accurately identify and troubleshoot engine faults.
• Perform repairs and replace faulty components in diesel engine systems.
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities conducted.
• Check and maintain vehicle emissions to comply with environmental standards.
• Inspect, test, and calibrate engine components to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with other mechanics and technicians to complete complex repair jobs.
• Provide technical advice and recommendations to clients regarding engine conditions.
• Ensure that all repair and maintenance tasks are conducted safely and efficiently.
• Stay informed about the latest developments in diesel technology and equipment.
• Order and maintain inventory of necessary tools and replacement parts.
• Offer emergency repair services both on-site and through roadside assistance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications preferred.
• Proven experience working as a diesel mechanic in a similar environment.
• Strong understanding of diesel engines, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and various mechanical equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
• Good physical condition and ability to perform labor-intensive tasks.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, CDL may be required.
