Responsibilities

• Perform thorough diagnostic services to identify vehicle issues accurately and efficiently.
• Carry out routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
• Repair or replace parts and components as necessary to ensure vehicle operability.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure all services and repairs meet safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with customers to explain the nature of vehicle problems and repairs.
• Utilize computer-based diagnostic equipment for complex automotive systems issues.
• Maintain detailed records of all work performed, parts used, and service recommendations.
• Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
• Ensure company tools and diagnostic equipment are used responsibly and maintained properly.
• Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Inspect vehicles to confirm they meet Department of Transportation regulations and standards.
• Mentor and train junior mechanics and apprentices to develop their technical skills.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; formal automotive training is preferred.
• Proven experience as an Auto Mechanic, with at least two years in a similar role.
• Certification from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of automotive engines, powertrains, and diagnostic procedures.
• Ability to use automotive repair tools and equipment, including diagnostic software.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to technical details are essential.
• Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively.
