Job Description

As a Service Advisor in the automotive industry, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and vehicle efficiency. You will be the primary point of contact between the customers and the service team, responsible for providing detailed information regarding vehicle repairs, maintenance schedules, and service recommendations. Your goal is to enhance customer experiences by providing expert advice, timely communication, and excellent service. In addition to your technical knowledge of cars and trucks, you will utilize your interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with customers, ensuring their needs are met and understood. With a focus on professionalism and productivity, your role is key to maintaining the reputation of our service center.


Responsibilities

  • Greet customers promptly and assess their vehicle service needs accurately.
  • Provide detailed explanations and cost estimates for vehicle diagnostics and repairs.
  • Translate complex technical issues into easy-to-understand terms for customers.
  • Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
  • Update customers on their vehicle’s progress throughout the service process.
  • Ensure that all customer interactions are logged into the system accurately.
  • Advise customers on scheduled maintenance services according to vehicle history.
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
  • Review service orders to ensure all tasks are completed correctly before billing.
  • Upsell additional services and products without compromising service transparency.
  • Ensure a clean and welcoming work environment for customers and team members.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with parts department to ensure timely availability.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Service Advisor or similar role in the automotive field.
  • Strong knowledge of automobile technology and vehicle maintenance needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced service environment effectively.
  • Proficiency in using automotive service software and keen attention to detail.
  • Customer-oriented mindset with problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education in automotive field is desirable.
