Job Description

The Project Engineer / EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) Coordinator is a vital role responsible for overseeing and coordinating large-scale engineering projects from conception to completion. This position involves detailed planning, execution, and management of engineering projects within the energy, construction, or related industries. The Project Engineer / EPC Coordinator ensures that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the stipulated quality standards. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in project management methodologies and capable of handling complex technical details, ensuring efficient resource allocation, and mitigating potential risks throughout the project's life cycle.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee engineering, procurement, and construction activities to ensure timely project execution.
  • Develop and implement project plans and schedules to meet client specifications and project timelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of project components.
  • Monitor project progress, identifying risks and implementing solutions to maintain project objectives.
  • Manage budgets and financial plans, ensuring cost-effective project delivery and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Prepare detailed project reports and present updates to stakeholders and management teams.
  • Supervise and mentor engineering staff, contractors, and other project team members.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Facilitate effective communication between all project stakeholders, including clients and team members.
  • Oversee the quality assurance and quality control activities to meet required project standards.
  • Develop contingency plans to address potential project delays or technical challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline is required.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in engineering project management or coordination roles.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale EPC projects in relevant industries.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and engineering principles.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of leading diverse project teams.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical problems and coordinate effective solutions quickly.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools, with strong organizational skills.
