Head of Product

The role

As the Head of Product, you will shape the product vision, driving innovation strategy, and leading teams to deliver world-class products. This role blends strategic leadership, customer insight, market awareness, and technical execution to ensure the company maintains a strong competitive edge

• You will oversee and empower the full product lifecycle from ideation and prototyping to launch and ongoing optimization, empower the product strategy and push innovation forward.
• Lead end-to-end product development initiatives, from concept and investment evaluation to commercial launch, ensuring progress, ROI, budget and timing.
• Build, lead and develop a high-performing product and innovation organisation, setting clear priorities, allocating resources and guiding teams through change.
• Directly manage two senior roles and provide overall leadership to multiple teams (50+).
• Translate customer needs, technology trends and market opportunities into a clear product roadmap and concrete, scalable solutions.
• Drive innovation by capturing market insights, customer feedback and external trends, and by collaborating with external partners such as startups and research institutions.
• Enable strong cross-functional collaboration across Engineering, Operations, Sales and Marketing to ensure effective execution and go-to-market success.
• Provide transparent reporting on project progress, impact and strategic value to senior leadership.
• Report to the CTO and contribute as a member of the Management Team.

Your profe

• Master’s degree required. A MBA, or a relevant advanced degree (in product management, operations, leadership) is considered as strong asset.
• 10–15+ years of management experience in product management, product development, innovation, R&D, or related fields in an international industrial context is a must, as well as experience in the building materials sector.
• Proven track record of launching successful building products and leading innovation initiatives in a complex organizational landscape.
• You have several years of experience in leading (larger) teams, you posses excellent people skills and you are capable of guiding change. You enjoy building teams and providing clear direction without adding unnecessary complexity. Your stakeholder engagement—internally and externally—is consistently excellent.You have strong conceptual thinking skills and operate with a strategic mindset, easily shifting between vision and execution.
• You communicate clearly and to the point (in English, Dutch, French and/or German) and thrive in an European context.
• Based at West-Flanders, this senior role is open to both Belgian and West-European applicants, provided they have the necessary language skills, competences and experience and are ready to relocate to the region. Willingness to travel is essential.
