Our client is an international industrial company specializing in advanced technical solutions, with operations across Europe. The organization has grown through acquisitions and operates in a complex, multi-site environment involving manufacturing, assembly, and after-sales services.
Job Description
As a Freelance Supply Chain Officer your responsibilities are:
- Manage end-to-end supply chain operations (orders, planning, stock, logistics)
- Coordinate with production, assembly, repair, and warranty activities
- Act as the main point of contact for customer service and supply chain topics
- Handle supplier management and purchasing, including price negotiations
- Monitor stock levels and ensure availability of critical components
- Anticipate and mitigate supply chain disruptions (e.g. electronics shortages)
- Allocate components efficiently across different products and business needs
- Manage claims, delays, and escalations with a proactive approach
- Collaborate with international stakeholders (Belgium, Netherlands, UK)
- Ensure operational continuity during the transition period
A successful Freelance Supply Chain Officer should have:
- Proven experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations in an industrial environment
- Strong understanding of manufacturing, assembly, and technical components (electronics is a plus)
- Hands-on, operational, and solution-oriented mindset
- Experience in customer service and stakeholder management
- Strong negotiation skills with suppliers
- Comfortable in an international and fast-changing environment
- Languages: French (mandatory), English (professional), Dutch (a plus)
