Conversational AI Programmer

Role Overview

Build conversational chat and voice flows for Bell Canada brands (Lucky, Virgin and Bell). Conversational AI Programmer will use Google Dialog flow CX to perform their programming, following pre-approved flow designs. The Conversational AI Programmer will assist with defect analysis and timely resolution.

Specific Duties And Responsibilities

• Manage tasks in JIRA and adhere to deadlines.
• Review design flows from Conversational Designers and collaborate to understand their requirements and objectives for the conversational experience.
• Program and revise conversational agents using Google Dialogflow CX, leveraging its features and capabilities to create natural and intuitive interactions.
• Conduct thorough testing of conversational experiences to identify and address issues related to dialogue flow, intent recognition, entity extraction, and system integrations.
• Monitor the performance of the conversational interface and identify opportunities for optimization, such as improving intent recognition accuracy or reducing response latency.
• Implement changes to optimize the performance and usability of the conversational AI solution over time.
• Provide ongoing maintenance and support to address any issues or updates required post-deployment.
• Receive feedback for continuous learning as part of the peer code review process.
• Attend recurring Agile touchpoints and provide status updates on workload.
• Share knowledge and best practices with team members and stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and continuous improvement
• Continuously learn and acquire new skills to enhance expertise in the field of Conversational AI development.
• Receive support and coaching from the Sr. VA Programmer at Bell will be responsible for the stability and performance of the application.

• Communication and Collaboration: The ability to coordinate and communicate with both internal and external team members, including product owners and fellow developers, to ensure tasks are completed successfully.
• Quality Assurance: The ability to perform personal quality checks on completed work, ensuring all tasks are finished to a high standard and following all guidelines.
• Root Cause Analysis: The ability to logically investigate, replicate, and identify the source of issues to find the most effective and permanent resolutions.
• Agile/Scrum: The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment governed by the Agile methodology, specifically the Scrum framework, and to follow its structured development process.
• Programming: Must have strong foundation of programming
• Process Flow Design: Must be able to understand process flow designs.
  
  

• 1-year Strong understanding of Dialog flow CX or other VA conversational design tools is an asset.
• A passion for Generative AI and Virtual Assistants (e.g. chat bots)
  
  

• University Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science would be a nice to have.
  
  

• Relevant programming experience
  
  

• Q1 Q2 or Q3 for the past 3 months - minimum of 3 months tenure for Agent, 6 months for Support.
• 95% average reliability for the past 3 months
• No disciplinary action served for the past 6 months (Written Warning are now considered DA
