Job Description
Job Objective
The Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for supervising the design, installation, and implementation of maintenance programs of all feed mill equipment by formulating and implementing supervision of preventive and corrective maintenance programs to ensure reliable, maximum efficient, and safe operation.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
Installation and Maintenance of Mechanical Systems and Equipment:
Plans, schedules, and supervises the repair and maintenance works of feed mill Mechanical systems and equipment ensuring that repair procedures follow equipment specifications and applicable standards and that they are finished on time and without compromising safety, workmanship quality, and productivity.
Submits list and discusses priority works with immediate superior and/or concerned department heads or process owners for appropriate action.
Regularly reviews the equipment, system, and plant shutdown reports and performs root cause analyses of downtimes caused by mechanical equipment failures.
Ensures that causes of equipment and/or system failures are identified, validated, and given priority in the next maintenance works scheduling and that plant downtime does not exceed set standards.
Regularly reviews, recommends, and implements approved cost-effective maintenance programs to ensure effective maintenance of critical and non-critical equipment, based on the root causes identified from previous problems encountered, condition monitoring, and time-based tasks ensuring that identified problems do not recur.
Establishes and implements a maintenance monitoring plan for critical and non-critical equipment.
Checks and analyzes the data of the operating conditions of equipment/machine regularly and forwards recommendations to immediate superior necessary measures to ensure safe and cost-efficient operations.
Assigns and monitors the progress of issued work orders or job orders to team members (TMs) and contractors ensuring that TMs and contractors conform to required lead-time, maintenance specifications, and standards on quality of workmanship.
Coordinates with the Maintenance Planner in establishing and maintaining an efficient materials/spare parts requisition system.
Establishes, maintains, recommends, and implements a good housekeeping program for all areas supervised to ensure compliance to but not limited to 5S and other company standards and government regulations
Energy And Supplies Management:
Identifies and forwards recommendations to immediate superior policies and measures to promote energy conservation. Implements evaluates, and monitors the effectiveness of approved policies and measures.
Regularly prepares the Fuel Consumption Report, Mechanical Downtime Report, Maintenance Personnel Man-hours Report, and the Plant Performance Measures Report to immediate superior to ensure that management is constantly updated on plant performance. Provides root cause analysis and corrective/preventive measures for non-conforming parameters.
Continuous Improvement Projects:
Conducts feasibility studies on possible alterations or system improvements to optimize plant safety and efficiency. Forwards recommendations to immediate superior and/or concerned process owners for evaluation and approval.
Performs designs and cost estimates of electrical components of improvement projects ensuring that these are in accordance with project specifications and applicable standards and forwards to immediate superior process owners for evaluation and approval.
Interprets received electrical plans, drawings, and diagrams for projects ensuring that these are properly explained and understood by subordinates during implementation.
Evaluate bid proposals for the supply of labor and/or materials for projects and maintenance works ensuring that they satisfy the required specifications and applicable standards. Submits recommendations to immediate superior for final approval.
Supervises the installation of plant mechanical equipment and plant facilities and/or ensures safety and efficiency and that the specifications are met.
Recommends and implements approved company policies, procedures, and guidelines to enhance safety and accident prevention of manpower and electrical equipment at all times.
Steam Boiler Operation:
Supervise Steam Boiler operation, and monitor energy and fuel consumption. Ensures PMS are conducted. Conduct an annual review of the boiler maintenance schedule.
Monitor boiler emissions and water discharges. Ensures all waste is in acceptable parameters.
People Development
Supervises monitors and evaluates the performance of direct subordinates.
Builds IDP and provides intervention for the development and growth of direct subordinates.
Monitors the services of third-party manpower service providers in the Central Maintenance department.
Other Tasks:
Attends emergency/special calls relative to electrical problems during a night shift, should the need arise.
Appointed membership to committees whenever necessary.
Participates in facility improvement projects as may be assigned.
Performs related work as may be assigned by the immediate superior.
SAP Support and Troubleshooting
Ensure the accurate and real-time execution of tasks related to the process/es they are responsible for, including the recording of information and report generation in the designated forms and platforms (e.g. SAP).
Integrate with other parties/ functions whose processes are interfaced with their processes (to enable alignment, efficient flow of the process, and effective implementation of controls).

Food Safety:
Ensures execution of quality, Halal, health, and food safety policies, standards, and regulations within the team.
Responsible for reporting problems related to Halal, food safety & quality management systems to identified authorities
Other Tasks:
Actively participate in all company programs and activities under quality improvement, safety & security, sustainability, corporate social responsibility, risk management, etc.
Performs other tasks related to the job as may be assigned by the team leader.
Other Requirements:
Excellent Knowledge of and familiarity with plant mechanical systems and design.
In-depth expertise in the capability to interpret symbols/plans
Thorough knowledge of troubleshooting mechanical and hydraulic systems.
Thorough knowledge of Pneumatics/Electro-pneumatic control systems.
Good project management skills
Above average Computer skills (word, excel, and ppt or related software)
Good communication skills (verbal and written)
Very good management skills (PLOC)
Excellent problem-solving and analysis
Highly detail-oriented
Very good organizational skills

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
Education:
Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
Experience:
With at least 3 years of experience in related work.
Licenses:
License Engineer or with at least 5 years of experience in maintenance supervision, planning, and scheduling.
