What You’ll Do
This position supports manufacturing operations by allocating quality resources to audit processes and products, ensuring compliance with established process controls and product specifications. The role covers both PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) and Final Assembly operations and serves as a key liaison with customers to address and resolve quality concerns, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Supervise and provide direction to PQC, OBA, OQC, IPQC, and Repair teams, including scheduling, shift assignments, and manpower rotation.
Ensure the effective implementation and execution of quality plans for OBA, IPQC inspections, and repair activities.
Monitor held materials and products (FG and PCBA) and drive timely resolution through cross-functional collaboration.
Review, analyze, and summarize OBA (PCBA and Final Assembly) and IPQC inspection results, and communicate findings to relevant teams to promote quality awareness.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, identify nonconformities, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Allocate manpower resources based on production requirements and operational priorities.
Provide coaching, counseling, and performance guidance to team members.
Support the Quality Management System (QMS) by implementing, maintaining, and improving quality assurance processes and protocols.
Develop and implement inspection and testing procedures for incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
Analyze yield data, test results, and quality reports to identify trends, quality issues, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
Investigate customer complaints and product quality concerns, determine root causes, and implement effective corrective actions in collaboration with Production, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams.
Conduct training and knowledge-sharing sessions on quality control procedures, standards, and best practices.
Support new product introduction (NPI) and product development activities by providing input on quality, reliability, and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a similar manufacturing quality role.
Strong understanding of quality control principles, standards, methodologies, and continuous improvement practices.
Demonstrated problem-solving ability with strong attention to detail and a systematic approach to issue resolution.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, production methods, material handling, inspection techniques, and quality control procedures.
Familiarity with UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) products, including assembly processes, testing requirements, and product functionality.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage cross-functional teams and customers.
Proficient in the use of quality tools and methodologies, including the 7 QC Tools, 8D Problem-Solving Methodology, and SAP systems.
Strong analytical and technical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and drive corrective actions.
Working knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) controls and IPC standards; relevant certifications or training are an advantage.
Proven leadership capabilities, including team supervision, coaching, and performance management.
Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities and meeting business objectives.
