The role serves as the key quality interface for customers, ensuring compliance with quality standards, managing complaints, and driving continuous improvement across manufacturing processes. It supports new product introductions, develops inspection plans, and collaborates on corrective actions, while also leading quality documentation and process reviews to uphold customer and operational requirements.
Job Requirements
Customer Quality
Act as the customer quality interface in the plant by driving customer satisfaction initiatives.
Spearhead the communication, implementation, and standardization of applicable customer requirements to the manufacturing shop floor and its stakeholders.
Handles and manages customer complaints through root cause analysis, recurrence prevention, and standardization of controls. Process Quality
Ensures compliance, testing, and monitoring of conformance to established quality assurance processes and standards for manufacturing and production.
Drive products and process continuous improvement through data analysis, problem solving, and flawless execution of the TEOA tools and methods, addressing customer complaints and process non-conformities.
Provides an effective disposition/recommendation to non-conforming parts, establishes robust containment, corrective, and preventive actions in collaboration with other support groups.
Support NPI products and process development/improvement to ensure compliance with the NPI target requirement.
Perform MSA and correlation study of relevant inspection and measuring tools/equipment.
Act as the Quality conscience of the customer (VOC) on the shop floor
Policies and Procedures
Generates Quality Inspection Plan, Control Plan, and other quality control documents, and ensures implementation on the shop floor.
Participate in PFMEA conceptualization, generation, and review.
Review and approve the Setup and FAAR report and release the NCR report to establish proper control of non-conforming parts.
NPI/Product transfers
Supports the review of DFM with a cross-functional team.
Support AQE/PQE on new parts reliability testing and FAA report approval.
Develop quality inspection documents (QFC, QIP, QCQ) and ensure the training of inspectors and operators.
Participate in PFMEA development and update as per defined landing zones in the NPI and product migration process.
Qualifications
Education, Technical Qualification & Experience
Degree in Engineering or technical field with equivalent (process) engineering experience
With at least 6-7 years (minimum) of working experience in the Quality department, with strong knowledge in manufacturing process and production environment (product: connector, semiconductor, electronics assemblies; process: Assembly, Molding, Stamping, Plating).
Knowledge and application of core quality tools such as 8D, 7 QC tools, MSA, SPC, FACA, etc.
With a good understanding of QMS standards (ISO 9001:2015, etc.).
Strong background in problem solving, continuous improvement, process audits, and GD&T (nice to have).
Personal Attributes & Competencies
With excellent oral communication and business correspondence writing skills (with good command of the English language)
Strong sense of responsibility, collaboration, and teamwork.
A self-starter can work with minimum supervision.
What Your Background Should Look Like
Generally requires Bachelors degree in appropriate field or local equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible professional level experience.
