Operations Program Specialist –for Development
We are looking for a Program Principal Specialist (P3) to be responsible for launching New Development Programs for the A350 Galleys business. The main role of the will be tasked to work with Leighton Buzzard (LB) Team in UK under the Galleys business new Development programs. The OPM will also be tasked with developing programs to support the organizations strategic direction, as well as creating and managing long term goals.
In order to be successful in this role, the Program Prin. Spclst. will need to have prior experience in both program / project management and team management. A bachelors degree is required.
Job Responsibilities
- Organizing programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization under the A350 IPT (Integrated Project Teams) set up.
- Assist in developing new programs to support the strategic direction of the organization.
- Creating and managing long-term goals.
- Participate in developing a budget and operating plan for the program.
- Developing an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement.
- Driving IPTs / PMTs to adhere and use gate reviews as guided by the RTX Lifecycle Program Management (RLPM) and Work Transfer procedures.
- Ensuring goals are met in areas including customer satisfaction, safety, quality, and team member performance.
- Implementing and managing changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved.
- Meeting with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding project issues and decisions on services.
- Producing accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle.
- Working on strategy with stakeholders.
- Work closely with project sponsor, cross-functional teams, and assigned project leaders to develop the scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives.
- Manage program and project teams for optimal return on investment, and coordinate and delegate cross-project initiatives.
- Identify key requirements for cross-functional teams and external vendors / customers.
- Develop and manage budget for projects and be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives.
- Work with other program managers & other stakeholders to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the department.
- Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks, and produce program reports for managers and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in engineering or related field.
- Preferably with Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI.org.
- Preferably with masters degree in business management or masters in applied sciences
- Proven track record & experience in project or program management.
- Proven stakeholder management skills.
- Experienced using computers for a variety of tasks & high competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook Microsoft Project.
- Working knowledge in use of project applications such as Primavera or Microsoft Project.
- Proven experience in managing cross-functional team.
- .Experience in proposal writing.
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral. Adept in communicating with higher management and as well as with production and support teams.
- Understanding of project management, Lean Production System (i.e. TPS), APQP, EASA, and ISO9100.
- Must be at least a year in a current job level/post
- Should not be under a Performance Succession Plan.
- Should not received any disciplinary action for one year.
