What You Will Do *
Operate CNC machining equipment to manufacture plastic parts safely and efficiently.
Perform routine tasks in preparation for machine operations and has multiple skill level for machining activities.
Handle more complex equipment and machinery.
Set up machines, tooling and fixtures in accordance with process requirements.
Read and interpret 2D drawings, work instructions, safety and quality procedures and other related technical specifications.
Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
Measure dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.
Perform machine adjustments and basic troubleshooting to maintain product quality and dimensional accuracy.
Identify and report machine problems, tooling issues, and quality defects.
Inspect finished components using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
Perform plastic assembly processes – manual to complex assemblies
Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
Follow company procedures, workplace safety requirements, and quality standards.
Keep the work area clean, organized, and free from safety hazards.
Support production targets while maintaining quality and minimizing material and machine wastage.
Other duties may be assigned.
What You Will Learn
Qualifications You Must Have *
1 to 3 years related experience and/or training in plastic fabrication, thermoforming, trimming, CNC machining or similar manufacturing environment;
Equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, specifications, and process parameters.
Able to read and understand basic CNC programming G codes and M codes.
Familiar with the use of measuring and inspection equipment, such as vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, measuring fixtures, height gauges and pin gauges.
Good understanding of quality requirements, production procedures, 5S, and workplace safety.
Able to maintain accurate production records, inspection records, and machine/process logs.
Good problem-solving, teamwork, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
Experience in modern manufacturing tools techniques (CI, Kaizen, 5S, etc.)
Willing to do overtime and work on weekends and holidays.
Willing to work in a production environment and perform shift work, where required.
