The Control Room Engineer/Operator is responsible for the operation and control of the PV farm system (i.e., PV Modules, DC Combiner Boxes, Inverter Station, Weather Stations) and its auxiliaries, including all Low, Medium, and High Voltage Systems and associated transmission lines through the Supervision, Control and Data Acquisition System (SCADA) to ensure continuous, safe, reliable, and efficient power generation of the Solar Power Plant.

Plant Operation
Takes charge of the start-up, synchronization, and shutdown of the solar power plant and its respective auxiliaries.
Ensures normal plant operation, including load variations.
Records, monitors, and evaluates operating system parameters such as irradiance/solar resource, temperature, wind speeds, energy dispatch levels, and load curves.
Initiates necessary recommendations to the Shift Charge Engineer for optimum performance to prevent breakdowns.
Monitors and interprets SCADA alarm indications of equipment malfunction and coordinates with the Shift Charge Engineer and Operation Ground Engineer for alarm rectification.
Operates the control system of the High Voltage plant substation equipment and HV/MV/LV switch gears during normal operations, maintenance activities, and abnormal/emergency situations.
Troubleshoots abnormalities during shifts and initiates remedial measures to prevent unnecessary downtime.
Coordinates closely with utility companies (e.g., DELTA for Meralco and/or its Systems Control Center and Systems Operations Area/Regional Control Centers for NGCP) and ensures all communications are properly recorded and logged.
Complies with all dispatch instructions from utilities (Meralco or NGCP) during emergency conditions in coordination with the Plant Manager and Operations Head.
Works closely with the Forecasting Team and Trading Team for the Electricity Market (IEMOP/WESM).
Coordinates with plant dispatch to regulate line voltage, frequency, load, and other power quality requirements in accordance with the Philippine Grid Code and Philippine Distribution Code.
Ensures dispatch levels of power and reactive power are within regulatory and contractual limits (Power Supply Agreement with Meralco) at all times.
Complies with and implements Environmental, Safety, and Health policies and procedures.
Performs other related duties as assigned or required
Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering or Electronics and Communications Engineering.
At least two (2) years of related experience in the energy industry, preferably in the design or construction of a power plant.
Ability to understand electrical drawings and schematics.
