Your Role

As a Managed Service Request Specialist, you will:

• Manage the end-to-end service transition lifecycle, ensuring new ICT services and infrastructure are seamlessly integrated into the production environment.
• Develop and oversee comprehensive transition plans, including operational readiness testing and service acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate with project teams and service operations to ensure all support documentation, training, and knowledge transfer are completed prior to go-live.
• Perform risk assessments for complex service migrations, identifying potential service impacts and defining mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate the Early Life Support (ELS) period, monitoring service stability and ensuring swift resolution of post-transition issues.
• Maintain the Service Transition framework and processes, ensuring alignment with ITIL best practices and organizational standards.
• Liaise with external vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure third-party services meet agreed- upon transition requirements.
  
  

What You Need

Non-negotiables

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in IT Service Management, specifically within Service Transition or Project Management.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex ICT transitions in a large enterprise or
  
  

telecommunications environment.

• In-depth understanding of the ITIL Service Transition phase and Service Design principles.
  
  

Preferred Skills/expertise

• ITIL v4 Managing Professional or Strategic Leader certification.
• PRINCE2 or PMP Project Management certification.
• Experience with cloud service migrations (Azure/AWS) and hybrid infrastructure environments.
