Job Summary

At PwC, our people in business application consulting specialise in consulting services for a variety of business applications, helping clients optimise operational efficiency. These individuals analyse client needs, implement software solutions, and provide training and support for seamless integration and utilisation of business applications, enabling clients to achieve their strategic objectives. As a Guidewire developer at PwC, you will specialise in developing and customising applications using the Guidewire platform. Guidewire is a software suite that provides insurance companies with tools for policy administration, claims management, and billing. You will be responsible for designing, coding, and testing software solutions that meet the specific needs of insurance organisations.

The Opportunity

When you join PwC Acceleration Centers (ACs), you step into a pivotal role focused on actively supporting various Acceleration Center services, from Advisory to Assurance, Tax and Business Services. In our innovative hubs, you’ll engage in challenging projects and provide distinctive services to support client engagements through enhanced quality and innovation. You’ll also participate in dynamic and digitally enabled training that is designed to grow your technical and professional skills.

As part of the Business Application Consulting team you will design and implement data extraction and transformation processes that secure accurate data migration. As a Senior Associate, you will collaborate with technical teams, validate data conversions, and mentor junior developers while contributing to the transition from legacy systems to Guidewire. This role allows you to leverage your analytical skills and promote exceptional practices in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement processes for data extraction and transformation
  • Validate data conversions to secure accuracy during migration
  • Collaborate with technical teams throughout the project lifecycle
  • Mentor junior developers and promote exemplary practices
  • Facilitate the transition from legacy systems to Guidewire
  • Leverage analytical skills to solve complex data challenges
  • Secure compliance with industry standards and guidelines

What You Must Have

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Oral and written proficiency in English required
  • Deep experience in designing and implementing ETL workflows and data pipelines

What Sets You Apart

  • Proven experience in data migration and ETL processes
  • Familiarity with Guidewire applications and insurance processes
  • Profciency in SQL and data modeling techniques
  • Experience with data integration tools like SSIS and Informatica
  • Knowledge of Azure Data Factory and Databricks
  • Ability to implement data quality controls and validation
  • Mentoring junior developers and sharing knowledge
  • Collaborating effectively in dynamic environments
  • Understanding of enterprise data architecture
