Job Description

Maintains the service delivery primarily of Workday and other HR systems that are related to the assigned functional area which may include one of the following: Core HCM, Security, Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking, Learning, Talent and Performance and Reporting.

External Title: Workday Functional Lead

Internal Title: Solutions Designer

  • System Design and Implementation
    • Create, synthesize, and assess solutions tailored to meet business and project specifications.
    • Develop comprehensive test plans, strategies, and scenarios to validate the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
    • Produce documentation relating to system design, testing, administration and other compliance-related materials.

  • Incident Management
    • Initiates investigation and resolution of issues.
    • Provides regular update on issue status and resolution.
    • Liaise with Workday or Workday Support for fixes or new features.

  • Solutions Management for Projects and BAU
    • Responsbile for understanding business requirements, collecting data, delivering analysis and problem resolution.
    • Contributes in planning and design of the solution and/or exploration of alternative solutions.
    • Works with various stakeholders to utilize existing solutions or develop new ones as needed.
    • Responsible for configuring solutions and making sure meets quality standards.
    • Adheres to the company’s best practice, standards and protocols for solution delivery.
    • Develops deep understanding of HR processes.
    • Responsible for Workday Release assessment, fixes, implementation and testing.

  • Project Management
    • Responsible in delivering projects and initiatives based on requirement, on time and of quality.
    • Capable of managing multiple projects and/or business-as-usual tasks concurrently.

  • Continuous Improvement
    • Encourages the agile way of working so as to shorten time to market allowing the team to provide value to internal customers immediately and continuously.
    • Keen for solutions to automate and enhance current processes.

  • Training & Development
    • Participates in required professional development training.
    • Proactively shares knowledge to teammates to foster team learning and professional development.
    • Builds and maintains subject matter expertise to Workday modules.
JOB QUALIFICATONS

Work Experience

  • Has field experience working on at least one full life-cycle of implementation of I.T. software(s) for Corporate Applications.
  • Has a minimum of at least 3 years in Information Technology
  • 2-3 years of experience designing and configuring Workday modules
  • Ability to investigate issues and thoroughly test
  • Has experience of HR applications and processes in an IT organization
  • Able work with utmost confidentiality and very high degree of professionalism
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and functions within the organization, understanding of related processes programs and data.
  • Effective project management skills; stakeholder management, and expertise in driving projects and initiatives, demonstrating benefits of projects to the organization, and translating customer and business needs into technical requirements.


Level of Knowledge

  • Graduate of any IT-related course.
  • College or university degree with focus on Automation control systems, Information Technology, Engineering, Finance, Actuaries or any relevant Technical degree.
  • Preferably with Workday Pro Certification or any HRIS Certification. Project Management, Lean Six Sigma, Cloud certification is also a plus.
  • Has worked with known back office service providers or companies in the Philippines or in the APAC region
  • Hybrid setup (3x onsite and 2x offsite)
