The Technology Innovation Senior Specialist builds research insights to develop and drive new innovation initiatives. The Innovation Specialist is responsible for deeper analysis of strategic opportunities and for concept development – translating research findings into viable innovation proposals (new product ideas, partnerships, process improvements, etc.). This role stays on top of fintech and technology trends, evaluates their feasibility for Home Credit, and often leads initial experiments or pilot projects to test out high-potential ideas.
What You Will Do
- Opportunity Scouting: Identify and evaluate high-potential innovation opportunities that align with Home Credit’s strategic goals. This includes spotting new technologies, emerging fintech platforms, or novel UX methodologies that could enhance Home Credit’s offerings. Conduct initial feasibility assessments and impact analysis for these opportunities.
- Advanced Research & Analysis: Dive deeper into specific domains or ideas – for example, perform detailed market analysis or customer research on a particular fintech trend or consumer pain point. Use both primary research (surveys, user feedback) and secondary data to develop evidence-based recommendations. The specialist distills this research into insights that guide decision-making on which innovations to pursue.
- Ideation & Concept Development: Facilitate cross-functional ideation workshops and brainstorming sessions to generate creative solutions for business challenges. The specialist may lead these sessions or work with teams to refine raw ideas. They develop concept proposals or business cases for promising ideas – outlining the concept, use case, potential benefits, and resource requirements.
- Pilot Project Leadership: Plan and manage pilot projects / proof-of-concepts (PoCs) to test the viability of selected innovative ideas. This involves defining pilot objectives and success metrics, coordinating with relevant departments (e.g. IT, operations, risk) to run the test, and monitoring results. For example, if trialing a new digital lending platform, the specialist would oversee the pilot from setup to evaluation, ensuring it stays on schedule and meets its KPIs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product development teams, IT, UX, marketing, and other business units to turn ideas into reality. The specialist ensures that proposed innovations are aligned with customer needs and practical constraints. They might coordinate with external partners or startups as well, for instance, collaborating with a fintech vendor during a joint innovation initiative.
- Reporting & Stakeholder Communication: Prepare and deliver presentations or reports on innovation research and pilot outcomes to stakeholders and senior management. The specialist translates technical or research-heavy findings into strategic recommendations (e.g. recommending to scale up a successful POC, or lessons learned from a failed experiment) and communicates the business value of innovation efforts. They also keep the innovation pipeline transparent by documenting progress and maintaining logs of all ongoing initiatives.
What You Should Have
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Business, Engineering, Journalism, Statistics etc.) is required. 3–5 years of experience in innovation research, business analysis, product development, or a related strategic role.
- Innovation & Research Knowledge: Strong understanding of research methodologies and innovation frameworks (e.g. design thinking, agile innovation). Able to design and execute research projects and interpret findings in a business context. Familiarity with fintech ecosystems and modern UI/UX principles.
- Analytical & Creative Skill Set: Excellent analytical abilities combined with creative problem-solving skills. Capable of both quantitative analysis (e.g. market sizing, trend extrapolation) and qualitative insight (e.g. interpreting customer needs or tech implications). Adept at “connecting the dots” across industry signals to envision new solutions.
- Project & Stakeholder Management: Solid project coordination skills to manage innovation projects or pilots (planning, coordination, and tracking). Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently. Able to work cross-functionally and influence without direct authority – for instance, guiding a project team in a matrix environment.
- Communication & Presentation: Exceptional communication skills are required to advocate for new ideas. This includes writing clear reports and delivering compelling presentations to leadership, with the ability to persuade stakeholders on the merits of innovative initiatives.
