As a Technical Service Manager at B. Braun you plays a vital role in overseeing nationwide technical service operations, leading a team of engineers to deliver exceptional customer support, reliable field performance, and full compliance with medical device regulatory standards. The role manages end‑to‑end service activities while driving operational excellence, resource optimization, and continuous improvement to enhance product reliability, service efficiency, and overall customer satisfaction.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a nationwide team of technical service engineers while managing daily service operations, ensuring timely issue resolution and compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
  • Monitor and analyze key service metrics to enhance performance, maintain machine uptime, and reduce service backlogs, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction through proactive communication, effective handling of escalations, SLA management, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Marketing, Quality, and Regulatory teams to support business objectives, product improvements, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Drive strategic and operational planning, including service budget management, resource allocation, spare parts planning, forecasting, and digitalization of service processes.
  • Build and sustain a high-performing team through coaching, structured training, competency tracking, and succession planning to support organizational growth.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field; additional certifications in medical equipment servicing, quality systems, or technical leadership are an advantage.
  • 7–10 years of technical/field service or biomedical engineering experience, including 3–5 years managing multi‑site service teams and strong exposure to hemodialysis equipment, water treatment systems, and related biomedical technologies.
  • Proven technical expertise in installation, calibration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of medical devices, with knowledge of hospital safety, biomedical, and electrical standards.
  • Strong operational management capabilities, including scheduling, dispatching, escalation handling, spare‑parts planning, workflow development, QA programs, data analysis, and process improvement.
  • Proficient in ServiceMax, Microsoft Office, and basic networking (IP addressing, LAN/WLAN configuration); able to prepare technical reports and improvement strategies.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing and developing engineering teams, with strong decision-making, communication, and stakeholder management skills; willing to travel nationwide and must possess a valid driver’s license.
