As our Talent Acquisition and People Operations Specialist, you will be a crucial partner in building our most valuable asset - our people. You'll wear multiple hats, driving excellence across the full employee lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding:
Develop and execute innovative sourcing strategies to attract exceptional talent across diverse platforms for technical and non-technical roles
Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, partnering closely with hiring managers to understand needs, define roles, and ensure a best-in-class candidate experience
Champion the Freelancer.com employer brand by representing us at industry events, tech meetups, university career fairs, and online communities
Craft compelling job descriptions and marketing materials that resonate with top talent
Facilitate a seamless and engaging onboarding experience for new hires, helping them integrate quickly and effectively into our culture
People Operations & Employee Engagement:
Drive initiatives that nurture and enhance our unique company culture, promoting motivation, collaboration, and a positive work environment
Plan, organize, and implement creative employee engagement activities that boost morale, support mental wellbeing, and foster a healthy work-life balance
Analyze HR data and metrics to identify trends, measure the effectiveness of people initiatives, and continuously improve our processes and systems
Administer and enhance our company benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive, meet employee needs, and align with industry best practices
Serve as a trusted point of contact for employee relations matters, providing guidance and support to employees and managers
Manage administrative cases, including conducting thorough investigations and recommending appropriate corrective actions, while ensuring compliance with legal requirements. This includes preparing related documentation (e.g., NTEs, Disciplinary Action Forms, Notices of Decision)
Liaise with our consulting legal team for advice on complex employee relations issues and ensure appropriate actions for administrative/labor cases
Develop, review, and revise company policies, procedures, and other HR documentation to ensure clarity, compliance, and best practice
Provide training and coaching to leads and managers on topics such as performance management, employee relations, and case management

What You'll Bring: Our Ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone with a proven track reco rd in technical recruiting andpeople operations. More importantly, we value character and cultural fit. You are likely to succeed in this role if you:
Skills & Experience:
Demonstrable experience in full-cycle technical recruitment, with a knack for identifying and engaging top-tier engineers, product managers, AI specialists, and other technical talent
Solid experience in People Operations, including employee relations, benefits administration, policy development, and HR data analysis
Proven ability to manage complex employee relations cases with sensitivity, fairness, and a focus on resolution
Familiarity with HRIS and ATS systems
Strong understanding of Australian employment law and HR best practices
