We are looking for driven engineering students to join our Systems Applications Engineering team, where you’ll work on system-level integration, CI/CD automation, and hardware validation for cutting-edge Digital Healthcare platforms.

This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to bridge software, hardware, and system-level testing in a highly collaborative, global engineering environment.

Role Overview

As a Systems Applications Engineering Intern, you will contribute to execution-critical work across system validation, automation, and infrastructure.

Unlike purely software-focused roles, this internship emphasizes end-to-end system integration, where you will work with real hardware platforms, validation pipelines, and user-facing tools.

You will support build and test automation, perform board-level validation, and enhance reliability of systems used in advanced medical imaging applications (e.g., ultrasound, digital x-ray, electrical impedance tomography and related evaluation platforms).

Key Responsibilities

• CI/CD Workflow Enhancement
• Improve and maintain GitHub Actions workflows (build optimization, caching, artifact handling)
• Enhance Jenkins pipelines, including:
• Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing
• Automated validation of application boards
• Failure tracing, logging, and reporting
• Support continuous integration processes to improve system reliability and turnaround time
• Hardware Testing and Validation
• Execute board-level testing and validation on evaluation platforms
• Support application board bring-up and debugging
• Collect logs, analyze failures, and reproduce system-level issues
• Work closely with engineers to validate hardware–software integration
• Test Script Maintenance and Improvement
• Maintain and enhance test automation scripts (Python / C++)
• Improve coverage, robustness, and scalability of automated tests
• Adapt scripts to evolving firmware, drivers, and system configurations
• GUI Automated Testing
• Develop and maintain automated GUI testing frameworks
• Implement regression testing for user interfaces (e.g., Flet-based tools)
• Validate real-world workflows across software, hardware, and user interaction layers
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• Experience with Python and/or C/C++ programming
• Familiarity with Linux-based environments or software development workflows
• Understanding of basic hardware concepts (interfaces, debugging, system bring-up)
• Exposure to version control (Git) and collaborative development practices
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to work on hands-on, execution-focused tasks
  
  

Preferred Qualifications (Nice To Have)

• Exposure to CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
• Experience with embedded systems or board-level debugging
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks
• Basic knowledge of communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, Ethernet)
• Interest in system-level validation and cross-domain integration (HW + SW + GUI)
