The Systems Administrator is responsible for supporting the effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and/or any related infrastructure. Participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. Ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational functions, enabling employees and departments.
Support functional testing for critical services as part of monitoring.
Support monthly backup and clean-up of logs.
Prepare and generate reports and statistics for live services upon request.
Ensure flawless functioning of daily reports and stats (email, web tool, SMS, etc.).
Oversee both Technical Support and Custodian for the smooth day-to-day team operation.
Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
Upgrade and configure system software supporting GIS infrastructure applications or Asset Management applications per project or operational needs.
Provide third-level support for queries and issues raised by incident management and request fulfillment processes.
Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems, and applications.
Troubleshoot system, PABX, and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults via remote access or on-prem dispatch.
Ensure service incident tickets are acknowledged, escalated, and resolved according to Service Level Agreement (SLA). Perform follow-ups until resolution.
Support the roll-out of new applications and evaluate new technology.
Perform periodic backup, performance tuning, and resource optimization as part of maintenance.
Prepare reports and ensure that information is readily available.
Act as a backup System or Network Administrator for Infrastructure.
Support technical issues and be accountable for Linux, Windows, and Application systems supporting Asset Management; Responsibilities on these systems include SA engineering and provisioning, operations, support, maintenance, and research and development to ensure continual innovation.
Other job-related activities that may be assigned from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications
Education – At least graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or any related course.
Related Work Experience – At least 3-5+ years of working experience in system administration in Linux and Windows Environment or in a similar role.
Database Creation and Management such as a Hardware Inventory Library.
Advanced knowledge of system vulnerabilities and security issues.
Cisco, Microsoft, VMware, and other certification is a strong plus.
Knowledge – Knowledgeable in the following:
IT Service Operations or IT Service Management
Complex system configuration.
Networking Configuration.
Systems Administration/System Engineer certification in Unix and Microsoft.
Implementation of Automated Proactive and Reactive Monitoring Tools.
Operating Systems – Windows, Linux - Cloud and Non-Cloud Virtualization – eg. VMWare, AWS, Azure, Rackspace, etc.
IT Access and Network Security.
Server Management.
System and network infrastructure, design, installation, and deployment.
OS: CentOS, RedHat, Ubuntu, Windows Server.
Knowledgeable in Unix/Linux shell scripting and basic PHP programming
Linux Services: Apache/NginX/Database/PHP
Windows Services: AD, DHCP, DNS.
Knowledgeable in Telco Value Added Services and SMS Protocol is a plus.

Must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to work with minimum supervision and able to provide guidance to new team members
