Our Special Projects Team is looking for experienced professionals to join us as Special Projects Officers in Metro Manila.

In this role, you will design and implement innovative programs that span the full credit cycle from acquisitions to recoveries to drive new growth opportunities while balancing business profitability and risk. You will also develop frameworks, analyze data insights, and collaborate with key stakeholders to deliver initiatives that support EastWest aspiration to be one of the leading consumer banks.

What the role will entail

• Conceptualize and execute champion-challenger programs across all credit cycles, supporting new engines of growth such as embedded financing, SME initiatives, bureau strategies, and portfolio segmentation.
• Provide business and risk frameworks (profitability models, risk appetite, benchmarking, and efficiency initiatives) including automation of reporting and processes.
• Conduct research on evolving credit strategies and contribute to portfolio management discussions to identify risks and opportunities.
• Review and endorse program proposals, policies, and procedures to assess compliance and risk implications prior to senior management approval.
• Ensure projects are well-defined, aligned with business objectives, documented, and appropriately reported, while effectively managing risks and escalation.
• Write system requirement specifications (e.g., use cases, data models, mock-ups) and collaborate with stakeholders for smooth execution of initiatives.
  
  
  

• Graduate of any four-year course, preferably in Business Management, Economics, Banking and Finance, Data Science, Mathematics, or Engineering (Management/Industrial Engineering)
• At least 5+ years of experience in credit operations, risk systems administration, compliance functions, or consumer banking
• Strong background in UAT testing, data analysis, and program/project execution
• Proven ability to manage and oversee critical tasks with high attention to accuracy and timelines
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
