Job Description

The position will be part of the Enterprise Enablement - Employee Experience Engineering Team that supports several technologies including HR & Finance products such as Workday, JPS Payroll and Ultimate Kronos Group Pro Timekeeping (UKG Pro). Focus of the role will be on timekeeping using UKG Pro application and eventually learning JPS Payroll system alongside Workday integrations.

Once successfully hired, the employee will work alongside architects, senior developers, technology analysts, project managers and other technology experts in the organization.

Major responsibilities include understanding and working on current and future solutions to ensure business continuity and constant solution improvements. The position also looks for an advocate to promote process advances. Given this, we are looking for a person who has great technical mindset, solution inclination and eagerness to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of UKG Pro Timekeeping Application as it will be the main application that will be supported by the role.
  • Support the development and maintenance of integrations between Workday and UKG systems.
  • Recommend, design, test and troubleshoot applications and integrations within Kronos, JPS Payroll and Workday to meet business problems and deliver on agreed timelines
  • Streamline business process through automations and integrations
  • Develops effective, maintainable solutions in a timely manner
  • Works with Technology Analysts to ensure quality output that meets the functional requirements from the business
  • Document, track and communicate development and testing results
  • Shows strong attention to development detail, produces high-quality output
  • Creates processes and procedures with input from business teams, development, and IT Support.
  • Maintains proficiency and develops expertise in the application and use of systems, tools, and processes within the departments scope
  • Maintains proficiency and develops expertise in the business processes that drive the applications within the department’s scope
  • Maintains working knowledge of Asurions applications and system integration and able to understand changes to anticipate cross-system or cross-process impacts.
  • Ensures the appropriate adherence to Asurions inter-departmental processes and procedures
  • Provides proper status notifications are relayed to business stakeholders and Client Relations for internal and external communications through the approved protocols.
  • Effectively communicates the feasibility of requested deliverables and timelines to the Manager and/or Sr. Manager.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in software development or system integration.
  • Experience working with UKG platform
  • Exposure in JPS Payroll and Workday platforms is a plus
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing requirements
  • Experience with cloud platforms and data integration tools is a plus.
  • Interest or experience in AI technologies.
  • Understanding of HR processes and employee lifecycle management.

Core Technical Skills

  • Experience on UKG Pro Timekeeping Application is highly preferred
  • Demonstrable track record of providing technical development and advice based on different application capabilities
  • Superior computer skills including common business applications such as MS Windows, MS Office including Excel, Work, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Basic knowledge of UKG Pro Timekeeping, Workday and Payroll applications preferred.
  • Knowledge of current principles, practices and techniques in software development and Agile methodology
  • Ability to diagnose application problems and develop effective solutions for them.
  • Ability to identify business problems as opportunities and provide technical solutions
  • Ability to apply technological concepts and tools within established periods.
  • Ability to prepare technical documents, architectural diagrams, and other development related documents
  • Ability to express ideas clearly, concisely in understandable form, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the business community, vendors, customers, and coworkers.
