About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Front-End Developer who can go beyond building user interfaces to influence architecture, performance, and overall developer experience. In this role, you will contribute to developing a modern SaaS platform for the Freight Forwarding and Logistics industry, leveraging real-time architecture and complex system integrations.

You should be confident in using AI-powered tools to accelerate development and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, innovative environment

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain modern front-end applications using React and/or Vue.js.
• Build scalable, maintainable, and high-performance user interfaces for enterprise-grade logistics workflows.
• Work closely with the Chief Delivery Officer, Business Analysts, Lead Architect, and Back-End Engineers to deliver new platform capabilities.
• Implement modern state management and server-state handling patterns using tools such as TanStack Query (React Query).
• Optimise application performance through intelligent caching, retries, background refresh, and asynchronous data strategies.
• Contribute to front-end architecture decisions, coding standards, and engineering best practices.
• Participate in designing event-driven UI workflows integrated with distributed backend systems.
• Build reusable component libraries and scalable front-end patterns.
• Integrate with APIs and event streams connected to Freight Forwarding and Australian Border Force systems.
• Use AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, and automate repetitive development tasks.
• Bring modern ideas, frameworks, tooling, and development approaches into the engineering team.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, testing automation, and overall developer experience improvements.
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• Has at least 5+ years’ experience in building "greenfields platforms" from the ground up, this role will be spearheading all front-end development.
• Thinks beyond traditional front-end development, you need to guide, steer the conversation and development with the Lead architect
• Brings fresh ideas and modern engineering approaches
