Senior Software Engineer 12-month

As our Senior Software Engineer, you will put our values up in lights by delivering these activities and outcomes:

• Building end-to-end solutions across a variety of channels (including internal tools, APIs, SDKs, apps and customer-facing portals).
• Utilising industry best practices and leveraging the latest technologies where possible
• Automating business processes so our staff can focus on the really important stuff
• Engaging with stakeholders in all stages of the software development life cycle
• Solving interesting performance and architectural challenges
• Writing clean, maintainable code, following best practices and adhering to coding standards
• Working on special projects as directed by the Software Engineering Manager
• Communicating and coordinating with internal departments
• Providing mentoring to junior members of the team
• Participating in sprints/iterations
• Performing code reviews
• Participating in an on-call rotation
  
  

• Bachelor of Computer Science or relevant industry experience
• 5+ years commercial software development experience
• Good knowledge of databases, including schema design & query optimisation
• Experience with creating and consuming modern APIs and SDKs
• Experience crafting and maintaining software with a test driven approach that is maintainable and conforms to standards and software development best practices.
• A willingness to explore and experiment with new software and/or languages to provide solutions
• A strong desire to guide and support others to achieve their goals
• An understanding of the telco industry
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• The desire to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to design and implement complex software solutions
• Test Driven Design experience highly regarded
• A willingness to mentor, support and grow a team
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology
• Ability to design and implement complex software solutions
• CI/CD experience highly regarded
• Laravel/Go/Python experience highly regarded
