Job Description

The Senior Backend Engineer will be a key team player in managing technical deliverables. This is a technical role first and foremost, with coaching responsibility. It is not a full people management role. You will be responsible in the technical quality of the code base and deliver high performance applications.

Develop and maintain responsive and user-friendly applications, specifically with Java.
Collaborate closely with backend, frontend, architects, designers, and leadership team to build scalable apps.
Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
Manage various projects including build, integration, migration, to name a few.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing, including coaching junior team members.

The Successful Applicant

A Successful Senior Backend Engineer (Java) Should Have

A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proficiency in Java and modern Java frameworks such as Spring Boot
Hands-on experience and expertise with backend technologies specifically Java
Extensive experience in Microservices architecture
Strong knowledge of database management systems and API development
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
