SAP B1 Developer

Position Description

As an SAP B1 Developer, you will be responsible for developing, customizing, and integrating SAP B1 solutions to support our business processes and growth.

Your future duties and responsibilities

Your main responsibilities as Consultant – Principal Consultant are, but not limited to, the following:

• Develop and customize SAP Business One using SAP B1 SDK (UI API, DI API) to deliver tailored solutions.
• Design and maintain integrations between SAP B1 and external systems using B1 Integration Framework (B1iF).
• Write and optimize SQL scripts, stored procedures, and views in SAP HANA to enhance reporting and data processing.
• Develop and consume APIs (REST, SOAP) for seamless data exchange with third party applications.
• Utilize C#, VB.Net, and XML to build and enhance SAP B1 add ons and automate business processes.
• Produce comprehensive technical documentation and maintain well structured, commented source code.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize custom developments, integrations, and system performance.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure system stability, scalability, and compliance with best practices.
  
  

All CGI partners may be required to perform duties outside of their normal duties from time to time, as necessary.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Business One development and customization, including SAP B1 SDK using UI API and DI API.
• Strong experience in designing and maintaining integrations using SAP Business One Integration Framework (B1iF) and external systems.
• Strong proficiency in writing, debugging, and optimizing SQL/HANA queries, stored procedures, and views.
• Hands on experience developing and consuming REST and SOAP APIs for third party system integrations.
• Proficiency in C#, VB.Net, XML, and related technologies for developing SAP B1 add ons and process automation.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills across custom developments, integrations, APIs, database processes, and system performance issues.
• Ability to translate functional and business requirements into scalable, maintainable, and technically sound SAP B1 solutions.
• Good understanding of SAP Business One architecture, development standards, system stability, scalability, and performance best practices.
• Strong technical documentation skills, including technical specifications, integration/interface documentation, and well-structured source code.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with business analysts, functional consultants, end users, and technical stakeholders Education
• Bachelor's or master's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
